Infants & Toddlers
Parent can share Christ with children even at a young age. Baptism is the foundation and the start of this journey. As children grow, parents can read bible stories to them and tell them about God, Jesus, and heroes of the Bible. Teach your child how to pray and say grace before each meal. Be your child's hero in their earliest memories of their faith journey!
Parents and Christian Ed leaders form the base for the next step in a person's faith journey. Youth learn from these individuals and even share their experiences with their friends. You can impact not only your child or grandchild, but also a chain of their friends. Catechism and Vacation Bible School is an excellent way to learn about God and Jesus as well as make friends. Regularly attending church, praying with them, and simply saying grace before meals cements this foundation. Hurray, you're traveling along your faith journey!
Teens & Young Adults
If you are just beginning your faith journey, talk to Pastor and ask for a mentor (if you don't have a practicing Christian family member). Congratulations, you just took your first step! Attend worship services. Pastor will hold classes so that you can learn about the faith... bring a friend or spouse. Join a Bible study and continue your knowledge as well as meeting other Christians.
Did you know that Jesus is not only your savior but also wants to be your friend. He is already walking with you on this faith journey. When you are ready, Pastor will baptize you (if needed), instruct you on Catechism, and receiving Holy Communion. Keep going! You are doing great! You're journey has just begun and it will be wonderful!
Adult Faith Journey
If you are just beginning your faith journey as a young adult to senior, realize that you are not too old or too young to take this journey. Christ will walk with you all of the way and so will the church congregation.
The first step is a simple one - tell Christ you're ready. Attend church services and learn about God the father and the sacrifice his son Jesus made on the cross. Next, talk to Pastor.
Pastor will hold classes so that you can learn about the faith. As you are learning, do you feel Christ stirring in your heart! Join a
Bible study and continue your knowledge as well as meeting other
Christians and hearing their faith journey stories. Are you ready to accept Christ as your savior? Yes... you have just been saved! Alleluia! When you are ready, Pastor will baptize you (if needed) and
instruct you on receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion. Join a Men's or Women's group to help provide support and friendship on this most wondrous journey of faith.
Prayer will be your tool and armor to aid you.
Know that Jesus is walking with you on your journey. Come to know him as your friend and Savior. This will be the most incredible and fulfilling journey of your lifetime!
